Getting Started

The first step in planning this evening is going to be setting up the 'scene'. This section goes over some of the basic things you will need to locate or buy and holds reminder of basic things to do in preparation for the dinner. Note, these are all things that can be done well in advance of your date arriving.

You will need the following things:

  • 2 Plates, I suggest plain white as most meals will look amazing against a white plate.
  • Clean, Unbent Silverware 2; forks,spoons, knives
  • 2 identicle water glasses
  • Several plain unscented candles
  • 2 identicle wine glasses(optional)
  • Tablecloth(optional)
  • Cloth napkins(optional)

If you don'thave the required items mentioned above you probably need to hear to your local store to pick them up. Even if you have none of the required elements you can probably pick them all up for less than $25 total.

Let's begin to set up the dinning room, ambiance is everything, so any area that your date will see needs to
look clean. For starters the dinning area and bathroom, the kitchen should not having anything noticably disgusting BUT you should leave some of your cooking items laying around to impress her.

Bathroom-make sure to wipe down the toilet, the sink, make sure there is plenty of toilet paper available. Empty any garbage cans, and make sure the
toilet seat is down.

No matter which recipe you decide to cook you'll always want to adhere to these basics, feel free to add some creativity as denoted in the individual meal plans.

The smaller and more intimate the table the better however since in reality you may not have a small table or a table at all. Refer to the pictures below on how you can set up larger tables to make them look great.

If you have a perfectly clean tablecloth place it on the table. And arrange the place settings as
shown. I recommend keeping the plates in the kitchen
and bringing them out with the meal on them so just the silverware, napkins, and glasses.

Music (optional)
This is optional but sometimes a nice low-volume soundtrack is a great touch. If you have a music source somwhere near the table set it to play something from the playlists on this site on repeat or if you've already got a great collection of Enigma, Mazzy Star playit, even I won't play Bon Jovi during a dinner event!
